Welcome To Ascension School Camp and Conference Center

Ascension School Camp and Conference Center in northeast Oregon offers quiet, serenity and natural beauty year round.

The camp and conference center is located in a park-like setting of green lawns, shade trees and evergreens in the historic town of Cove, Oregon.  Ascension's buildings are nestled in the foothills of the Wallowa Mountains  and the overlook the beautiful Grande Ronde Valley.

Meeting and Event Space

Modern, inviting and fully accessible, Kimsey Commons includes two meeting rooms; the largest can accommodate up to 60 people; a smaller room holds 15-20 people. The large room has a fireplace; both rooms offer expansive views of the valley.  Meals and refreshments can be provided from the full-service kitchen and served in the conference center's dining room. Covered decks and porches are pleasant places to chat between sessions.

Founder’s Hall provides a rustic lodge like setting which includes a dining hall that can accommodate 100 people, a small library that can accommodate 20 people and a lovely deck that overlooks the Grande Ronde Valley. Meals and refreshments can be provided from our second full-service kitchen and served in our dining hall or weather permitting on the deck.

Lodging - Two Choices

Kimsey Commons has modern rooms, each with two comfortable twin beds and a bathroom with either a bathtub or shower. Fully accessible rooms are available. Sitting areas with comfortable chairs, good lighting and views offer a pleasant place to read, visit or simply enjoy the view. Board games, puzzles and sports equipment are available.

Dormitory accommodations, in buildings a short walk away, consist of spacious rooms with five bunk beds, and shared bathrooms with showers and toilets.
